Fresh, Homegrown, Tomato Sauce
If you’re like me, this summer has brought you a plethora of tomatoes.
I have them coming out of my ears!
An easy way to use them is to make your own tomato sauce. This sauce is great for pastas, rice, base for tomato soup, or eatin right out of the jar.
Honestly, the recipe is quite simple. It will take you all of 5 min to cut them up and then, poof, you’re practically done.
Recipe:
- Tomatoes (I used enough to fill my pan)
- 2 large scallions
- 3 cubes of garlic
- Seasoning: Pepper and Garlic Salt
- Fresh Basil
First, cut up your tomatoes, scallions, and garlic.
Next, put them at medium heat on the stove.
Add seasoning and fresh basil
Let it boil down till the tomatoes are soft,
Lastly, put in a jar and enjoy!
See… Simple and you’re able to use your homegrown tomatoes in the Winter.
